Combo of traditional landline and contemporary skype

Philip’s VOIP841 phone, combines a traditional landline phone with Skype functionality.

Now making phone calls over internet will not arouse any sort of hullabaloo. This doesn’t mean that you have to dig a hole in your pockets for buying a uni-functional device. huh. Though 80 % of the population is embracing skype but the skew of remaining 20 % has made Philips come out with Philip’s VOIP841 phone that elegantly combines a traditional landline phone with Skype functionality.

This seemingly landline is capable of doing Skype VOIP calls. Available in beautiful backlit color display, the gadget can store up to 500 contacts. With the help of its DECT v. 6 technology, Philips increases voice clarity by reducing interference. The rest of the features on the phone are pretty standard: caller ID, hands free speakerphone, volume control, and different ring tones for internet calls versus landline calls. The $200 bundle gives you one handset, the base station, a AC charger, CD-ROM, and ethernet + phone cables.
