Toshiba’s “gigabeat V801″: an advanced multimedia player

Toshiba’s is successful in upgrading its V series profile of Gigabeat portable media players by introducing Toshiba 80GB Gigabeat V801. The device enables a user to store 339 hours video images or 20,000 music contents and digital broadcasting for mobile gadgets.
Going with the name, it has an 80GB hard drive for $491 and the 40GB V401 is priced at $409.

  • 24-mm thickness
  • Improved sound quality
  • 1Seg Tuner and EPG for Digital TV viewing / recording
  • Supports WM DRM10 and WMA 9 Lossless
  • New 4-inch (480 x 272 pixel) LCD display with 24-bit color

The Toshiba Gigabeat V801 and V401 will start shipping on the 1 June in Japan
