Google Revamping breeds gadgets for geeks Â

The search giant has various plans on its sleeves to add easy-to-use features in its kitty. The focused territory seems to be Google Personalized Home Page.

At the name of a revamp, the search engine is switching on its name from Personalized Home Page product to iGoogle. You have your good sleep because this will be functional by early morning tomorrow.

The new product offers the liberty to its visitors to create a customized portal with news, blogs related to knowledgable modules called “gadgets”-(or may be widgets—the local weather clock and–the calendar). Want numbers? It is more than 25,000 gadgets.

iGoogle is going to carve history as it will be the fastest-growing product at the company last year, said Marissa Mayer, vice president of search products and user experience at Google. Personalization is “one of the biggest advances we’ve made.”

As a part of a makeover, the techy sovereign is also announcing a new Gadget Maker feature allowing people to place the gadgets with the content giving vent to their experience, without having to know code or HTML.

Availability of the various templates is the key to put its visitors in the choosers’ category and not the beggars. Framed Photo (creating and updating photos); GoogleGram, an unfolding “greeting card” gadget (shows different messages and images over a week’s time) ; Daily Me (miniblog that help share snippets); a YouTube gadget for a favorite video clip; and many others.
