NatureMill: Your own indoor compost maker

By Andrew | February 25, 2008

Naturemill

If you are a nature lover at heart and always make sure to give back to nature what it gave to you, then the NatureMill Pro Indoor Composter is made just for you.
You can use it like a trash can, installed under your kitchen cabinet, where you can dump all the kitchen waste. Anything from coffee beans to vegetable peels to egg shells or any organic food waste that can be broken down can go inside the can.
It is big enough to hold up to 120 lbs compatible organic waste and in a matter of just two weeks NatureMill decomposes the waste into fresh compost that you can add in your garden. The ready compost is transferred into the lower compartment of the can, which you can pull out and use.
Now if you are thinking that the decomposition process that’s happening right there inside your kitchen, might fill it with that eerie and dirty stinking smell, then you must know that the carbon filters and air flow produces energy that destroys any excessive odors, pathogens, and seeds attempting germination.
Price: $300-400

Zml.com is here!
The site offers everything that a moviebuff wants.
Zml.com poses as a user friendly website that lists thousands of movies, both old ad new, which you can download at a jet speed into your high quality to personal computers, iPods or other handheld devices. You can also burn a DVD for yourself.
Isn’t cool. Now I don’t think I need to tell you why Hollywood didn’t come up with something like this. Thank Joe for the discovery. Zml.com charges a minimal of $2-$3 sans any DRM (digital rights management) so it’s your call as to what you want to download.
The only hassle with the site is that this one is a pirate site and aleady attempts are being made to have it shut down. But till the time it’s on….make the best out of it and have a fill of Hollywood!

Car accident proof recorder

By Andrew | February 22, 2008

mirror.gif

Don’t know how important and useful is to record your own driving, but if it is in any which way, the first of its kind mobile DVR screen can be of some help. This one is a  2.5″ LCD screen provides that keeps recording the way you drive the moment you start the engine till you switch it off.
And whenever you want, you can se the instant playback of recorded audio and video footage of everything happening in front of your car. The gadget gets activated automatically the moment you turn the engine on.

Now the basic motive of the company in making something like this is to avoid blind spots but what we consider the best advantage is that you can always get a clean escape from an accident where it is not your mistake. As the device will record the complete event, storing it in the SD card and will save you from paying higher insurance premiums because of the fault of some one else.

Solar powered USB drive

By Andrew | February 22, 2008

solar flash drive

There are both positive and negative points in this USB drive. Positive that it features a little screen on the face of the USB flash drive that makes it easy to show how much space is available in the flash drive, without plugging it into the computer. Another positive point is that the drive takes power from the sun. Yes, this one is a solar powered USB drive.
But the only negative is that you can charge it only when you are working while sitting in the sun, which usually doesn’t happens coz most of the time the USB drives are lying either in our bags or drawers. So a piece of advice that comes here says that if you want to take the benefits of this Drive, keep it near a place where it can eat sun required to get the power.
But no doubts it’s a promising design!

mStation Orb Docking/Speaker Station

By Andrew | February 22, 2008

mStation Orb Docking station

After a long break, but I’m back to my gadgetsblog! Just as I sat to find something to tell you about, I scrawled through a number of iPod docks, before the mStation caught my fancy. The only reason I decided to tell its tale was its unique design, which was quite a relief from the monotonous ones and of course the sound quality.

The mStation Orb is a Docking/Speaker Station that’s not just different in looks from its contemporary’s but also packages fine sound quality.

The red colored docking station looks cute in that round avatar and comes home with a matching remote control, a USB Cable, and a stereo mini cable.
As you start exploring mStation, you’ll discover a few buttons on the top. These 6 buttons to be more precise are the controls for power, volume controls, previous, forward, and play/pause. For your convenience, all these controls are also available on the remote control.

A little bigger than the credit card, remote control is quite light in weight. Easy to install, mStation docking station is a cool cradle for the 3rd generation Nano.
There’s no need to disappoint if you own the older version of the iPods, since the cradle also homes a Firewire port that helps you to connect the older iPod generations.
Now, this was the best feature that was missing from other iPod docks on the block.
