T-Mobile G1 to be Released Next Month

When the engineering diagrams for the T-Mobile branded HTC Dream handset came out, it excited every one beyond words. Now that photos of a phone that falls along the lines of the leaked diagrams have come up online, we may conclude that it is the real thing. The white handset, rumoured to be called the G1, has a five-row QWERTY keyboard hidden beneath a side-sliding keyboard.

Rumour mongers insist the G1 runs a 528Mhz Qualcomm 7201 processor with a 64RAM and 128MB ROM. Other features of the phone may include a 1GB MicroSD card, a 3.1 megapixel camera sans flash, and payback of h.264, streaming, 3GPP, MPEG4 and 3GP video. HTC, T-Mobile and Google have not yet announced a released date but if other sources are to be believed, the G1 will be available from October 13th of this year at the price of $199. Apparently, existing subscribers to the carrier can preorder the phone nearly a month in advance.
