MX-6000: Universal Remote Control by URC

Did you desire the Universal Remote that Sandler misused in Flick and boast that you could have done much better? Well, your chance is here. The Universal remote Control MX-6000 doesn’t exactly pause scenarios and fast forward you through arguments with your spouse, but it still does a lot of cool stuff. Not exactly meant for the masses, the MX-6000 is intended only for professional installers. An updated version of the MX-3000, the MX-6000 is URC’s first wide screen remote (480×272). The MX-6000 has Wi-Fi option to access networked PC home entertainment, apart from the traditional infrared and RF control.
URC reports that the touch-screen MX-6000 is capable of displaying cover art, artist name, and other metadata combined from media libraries from the PC. You can also customise the remotes interface so that it automatically displays personalised information such as stock updates and other news the moment it is connect to the internet. MX-6000 also comes with a PSX-1, a networked iPod dock, so that the remote can connect to the iPod and playback music and videos on the receiver or HDTV. The MX-6000 is not for the masses, certainly not when it is priced at $1500.
