Zöet: Wi-Fi Audio System by THIEL

There is no dearth of audio systems that offer you the widest range of possibilities. THIEL, an unheard of company, announces its latest in audio systems and it sure claims to do a lot. The THIEL audio system claims to be the world’s first plug-n-play multi-channel audiophile quality distributed system. The THIEL audio system, Zöet, features pure THIEL sounds (though we are not sure what that may be) and can send the sound waves racing through multiple rooms.

Zöet connects to your Ethernet network and connects to the self-powered IP-addressable speakers in combination with THIEL’s wireless network. The connection to the speakers is made via a special dB1 distribution processor. Zöet is a revised version of the concept that THIEL presented at CES 2008 under the THIELnet brand name. Zöet can be controlled with a remote and can be accessed through a web interface that can also provide users with system changes and firmware upgrades. Zöet claims to provide better sound performance since it incorporates technology that preserves signal synchronization which enhances imaging and reduces the echo effect. THIEL hasn’t released any information about the availability of its magical player yet.
