Raytheon Launches Aquatic Exoskeletons

Aquatic Exoskeletons

Raytheon is one of the most famous companies that have been conducting research on exoskeletons. In fact, they are the leaders of the exoskeleton industry. Their latest contribution to this realm is a biologically inspired aquatic exoskeleton. These robotic suits enhance the user’s strength and allow him or her to mimic the movements of penguins and dolphins.

If you remember a certain episode where Tom swam in the water like various aquatic animals, you can do just that, but there wouldn’t be a mer-Jerry to eat. These exoskeletons will allow swimmers to achieve speeds of 1m/s and also a top speed of 1.5m/s. It emulates two types of biological propulsion, which are the body and/or caudal fin locomotion and median and/or fin locomotion.

These movements are designed to generate powerful and efficient flipper strokes. The exoskeletons also allow the user to continue swimming instinctively and of course very efficiently. We would like to ask Raytheon if we could compete with Michael Phelps.
