Designer Apostol Tnokovski has break free the good old PC from the shackles of the monotonous squares and rectangular shape with his newly designed wonder in a spherical shape. Christened as the E-Ball is nothing but just a 6-inch orb-shaped PC which is being heralded as “the smallest PC ever made.â€
It is definitely small when it comes to the size but as they say all good things come in small packages, this tiny round PC is no exception. It is loaded with all features that you can only dream of to have in a regular PC. It comes packed with a projected keyboard and display.
It recognizes your fingers with the help of an IR sensor when you are typing at a particular place, while the mouse is a pop out wonder making this an exiting piece of technology. Apart from that, E-Ball works on a dual core processor, a 250 to 500GB HDD, 2GB of RAM, integrated graphic card and sound card, 2 x 50W speakers, HD-DVD recorder, laser keyboard, LAN and WLAN card, modem, webcam and an integrated LCD projector.

Coming from the brain of Poland’s Damian Kozlik is another variation of the good old watch called the ‘X-Watch’, which is an attempt to make a watch that can be used by the blind as much it is good for the sighted.
Though it looks a bit confusing in the first go, but when you get to know it comes to fore as an interesting thing. The rubber strap carries a number of LEDs behind graduated glass with extruded braille numbers that chris-cross to highlight and center the correct time.
Blind people just need to move a finger along the graduated watch glass, when he touches the highlighted panel, he will hear the sound.
How does it work?
Every segment of the watch glass works like separated touch switch. There are two solutions possible:
1. Every panel works like capacitance touch switch. It needs only one electrode to function. The electrode can be placed behind a panel. It works using body capacitance. When a person touches it, it increases the capacitance and triggers the sound.
2. Every panel works like resistance touch switch. This solution needs metal units to function. There are two thin pieces of metal on the each panel. It works by lowering the resistance between them. It is much simpler in construction compared to the first solution. Placing a finger across the metal units achieves a turn on the sound. Removing the finger from the metal pieces turns the sound off.

All the latest computer designs seems to lose their charm the moment you put your eye on this new concept of computer designing called the “B-membraneâ€. Designed by Korean designer Won-Seok Lee this one is truly a futuristic concept that does away with the need of having those big and bulky monitors taking space in your work area.

If there’s no monitor then what works here? It takes the omni directional projector technology to project your monitor on any surface that you like. Apart from the monitor, even the keyboard is no less than a treat in the Kubrick inspired ‘B-membrane’. It features a membrane touch sensitive keyboard that appears only when needed through the integrated optical drive. To make it all the more interesting, when the computer is not in use it can be used as an ambient light to produce beautiful feects on any surface that you like.

The ORB or the Time Orbit Watch, which is actually just a concept as of now 9and also in the near future I suppose) makes time a fashion concept rather than a basic necessity.
Yes, designed by DjoDjo, the ORB delivers time in a unique and also hard to understand unconventional manner. It features rotating coloured lines instead of the hands representing time. Wanna adjust your watch? Just dragged or push the lines by your hand and there you are all set to play with time in your ORB watch.
No doubts the ORB looks trendy at a glance, but looks suitable only for the female users. Available in black and white colours the watch is perfect accessory to complement any trendy outfit but comes no close to a traditional watch that’s simple enough to tell the straight forward tale of time.

Somebody like me who spends most of the time sitting upright before the workstation definitely deserve something as comfortable and ergonomically designed workstation as the Surf Chair workstation that gives me the perfect posture to work keeping my back in the right shape.
Designed by Kenneth Lylover, the Surf Chair has everything that a geek can only dream of to have a pain free Internet surfing. Conjured particularly keepingin mind the ‘Internet Collection’ of the Scandinavian Furniture Fair the Surf Chair features pillows fixed at various points in the seat and back to ensure a comfy surfing, while the screen is suspended at precisely the right angle in accordance to your back and neck.
The only drawback that I could find was that due to the unavailability of space, the keyboard is supposed to be kept on the lap by the user. No wonders it managed to beg the ‘Best Product’ award in the fair and is worthy enough to be tagged as a luxury gadget for a luxury loving geek.
