By Rizmyn | September 25, 2008

Here is a gadget, which actually is a misnomer for something so beautiful. Well, lamps are not your everyday gadgets, but then we just had to feature this lamp for it has taken the designer not only art and aesthetic sense but also a strange combination of meticulous technology and hi-tech design. Light baffles us the most and we still have not understood much about the process involved in the journey of light.
We don’t know if light is a ray or a collection of particles. However, light can definitely tell us how the honey making process takes place. Yar Rassadin has designed the Beehouse lamp, which is a simulation of a honey making process, and is created with honey-yellow Swarovsky crystals and the comb is made from white bend plastic.

Eco friendly Lamp: Bicycle Rider Solar Lamp
By Andrew | March 25, 2008
I was about to wrap-up when I came across this cute and thoughtful environment friendly lamp. Environment friendly because it runs on Solar power and cute because it’s a treat to watch it glow and the tiny man in action.
This innovative and eco-friendly home accessory called the Bicycle Rider Lamps runs on Solar Power Apart from the lightening part that’s taken care by the solar energy, there’s something more that solar power does to this lamp. As and when the lamp gets exposed to sunlight, the cute little bicycle rider sitting inside starts pedalling making the lamp an object de’ art apart from being a chic utility gadget.
All you need to do to charge is to keep it in the sunlight and the solar panel will automatically turn towards the sun as it’s fitted on a rotatable base. In case it’s a cloudy day, the 40w lamp can work by connecting to a power source.
Must say…it’s a perfect combo of fun, intelligent design and eco-friendly concept!
