E-ball: Tiny Round PC from the future

Designer Apostol Tnokovski has break free the good old PC from the shackles of the monotonous squares and rectangular shape with his newly designed wonder in a spherical shape. Christened as the E-Ball is nothing but just a 6-inch orb-shaped PC which is being heralded as “the smallest PC ever made.”
It is definitely small when it comes to the size but as they say all good things come in small packages, this tiny round PC is no exception. It is loaded with all features that you can only dream of to have in a regular PC. It comes packed with a projected keyboard and display.
It recognizes your fingers with the help of an IR sensor when you are typing at a particular place, while the mouse is a pop out wonder making this an exiting piece of technology. Apart from that, E-Ball works on a dual core processor, a 250 to 500GB HDD, 2GB of RAM, integrated graphic card and sound card, 2 x 50W speakers, HD-DVD recorder, laser keyboard, LAN and WLAN card, modem, webcam and an integrated LCD projector.

More battery and storage for Eee

This is the CherryPal PC, a PC incredibly small that nearly falls within the palm of one hand. In reality this is a PC with almost anything inside it, only a small graphics card, a processor, an Ethernet and a pair of USB inputs, an internal memory of 4GB and 802.11g WiFi. Asus Japan announced that its notebook U2E equipped with a screen of 11.1 inches WXGA resolution (1366 x 768), sailed now 32 GB SSD, and will be available on July 12 for 1770 €. This afternoon, Acer Japan has decided to unveil its new UMPC powered by a ATOM, the Aspire One. Available in white or black, the Aspire One board an N270 Atom processor (1.60 GHz), 1GB of RAM (512MB on board), a screen 8.9 “WSVGA with backlit by LED lighting, a Webcam 0.3Mpix , 120GB HDD, Wifi B / G, a memory card reader, an Ethernet port for only 1.1 kg and a size of 249×170x29mm. Despite its beautiful design, it looks like many PC already turning on ATOM … Esperons therefore that the next UMPC ATOM bring something new.
Barracuda 7200.11: The very first disk 3.5”1.5To by Seagate

Seagate announced that its first hard disk 3.5”1.5To, the Barracuda 7200.11, should be available in August. This new SATA hard disk includes 4 plates 375Go and provides a data transfer rate of 120Mo/seconde. It is also available in 1TB version, 750Go, 640Go, 500GB, 320GB and 160GB.
Seagate also announced a series of hard drives 2.5”500GB at 5400 and 7200tours/minutes, Momentus 7200.4 and Momentus 5400.6. Regarding this series, they will be available from the 4th quarter of 2008.

SentrySafe launched its new generation of hard disk Fire-safe/Waterproof which should protect your data against fire and water damage. The manufacturer had unveiled the first HDD 160GB Fire-safe/waterproof at CES 2008. This time, the new hard drive offers a storage capacity of 250 GB.
