The Sony made in Japan, his most recent video projector, the VPL-EW5.  This new projector is integrated in the range BrightEra design and allows videos with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a brightness of 2000 lumens. he contrast is presented, however, only about 700:1. This figure is somewhat low, especially given what you can find in competing products. In terms of connections the VPL-EW5 presents all the usual connections, including an HDMI port.
In addition to this projector, Sony also presented the VPL-EX50 and VPL-EX5 that have a brightness of, respectively, 2500 and 2000 lumens, a resolution of 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 900:1. However, these two models do not have HDMI connection which limits its usefulness rather in terms of use for home cinema.
