By Cheryl | August 21, 2008

openframe iphone home phone

Enough of cell phones, lets talk land lines now. Yes, it definitely sounds berserk to mention land lines, when most of us are chucking them out for sleek cell phones and chucking the old sleek cell phones for the latest iPhone!

What if you cross breed your boring land line with the all new jazzy iPhone. If not world class but quite a manageable iPhone look alike breed will definitely result out for sure. I’m not talking crap, but people at OpenPeak who designed the OpenFrame platform are once again ready to become the pioneers to give an iphone-y makeover to your home phone.

Open Peak is all set to manufacture a traditional home phone consisting of ‘OpenFrame’ (the small tablet that looks like a digital picture frame. The final outcome will be soon ready with telecoms to be supplied to consumers at a price about $200 to $300.

And if you are already worrying about the applications, let me tell you that just like with iPhone, the company will also encourage developers to create third-party programs complementing the OpenFrame including the calendar, local weather & news and even internet radio. Hmmm…seems happy days are here again for the home phone!

Please don’t kill me for what I’ve brought next is another household gadget. But it’s not simple anymore, rather a highly advanced version of your good old curtains, which had been living a life untouched by those techies till now.
But they are no more untouched today…finally they have made it to the technology world and it has transformed the old free-falling cloth curtain into a highly advanced magnetic curtain.
We are talking about the curtains designed by Florian Krautli’s that’s sure to leave the interior designer’s sighing!
The catch here is that the magnetic effect in the curtains allows the user to fold, crush, place, shape their curtains in whatever beautiful, whimsical, unique or bizarre shape they like.
In short, curtains will no longer have a great fall…but unique folds that the curtains and curtain users are accustomed to but will feature creases instead.
Must say curtains have finally moved out of the home into the techie-arena…lets wait and watch for the next new innovation they go through!!
