Wireless goes your HDTV, thanks Sharp’s tuner

Sharp tuner makes HDTV wirelessSharp tuner makes HDTV wireless

This is one wireless technology that I’m actually faling in love with. Thanks to Sharp, and the new device that they have created, there will be a little less web of wires behind your high-end TVs, particularly Sharp’s recently launched ultra slim X-series LCD displays.

They call this wireless technology as WHDI (Wireless High Definition Interface). This allows HDMI signals to be transmitted in full 1080p, without loosing upon quality. All of your TV inputs and bulky tunings will get routed to your TV via the tiny set top box you see on top.

The box is supposed to be placed 100 feet away and can work across 4-5 walls, allowing you to keep all of your home theater equipments lie at a safe place out of the way.

The technology seems smart and nothing smart comes without a price and the WHDi is no exception. This device is priced at $800. I don’t think, it’s much of a price to give an extra kick of style to your already stylish HDTV from Sharp.

Wireless router for iPod iPhones from I-O data

By Andrew | April 27, 2008

Wireless router for iPhone, iPodI guess only iPod was the only device left on the gadget shelf that was alien to the concept of internet connectivity till date.

But with the coming in of the new wireless router from I-O Data for Mac & Windows, even this will be possible now.

The WN-G54/R4-M allows you to connect not just your iPod Touch but also your iPhone to the internet by installing software on your computer.

Now, just push the button and there you have a convenient and uninterrupted access to Internet even in your iPod!
Though there’s no information about the pricing and availability, but I’m sure that the moment it hits the market, no doubt it will be a big hit!
